Hallowedding Invitation How To

My wedding invitations were done in a great hurry, so they are pretty simple, but still slightly time-consuming. I got the idea from the Better Homes and Gardens Eerie Halloween Wedding Party. Either way, I've posted a tutorial on them.

Here's what you'll need:

Black cardstock
White cardstock
White vellum
Black eyelets and setter, OR, Ribbon
Sewing Maching
Printer
Glue

First print all three pieces of the invitation - as many as you'll need:

3. Wedding information for back on two pieces of white cardstock:

The first part of the wedding information (bride and groom's name) will need to be printed and centered on the back of the chandelier photo. This is printed on the white cardstock. The other wedding info can be printed on a thinner paper. The vellum sheet and the cardstock with the chandelier should be the same size (4.5" x 6").

Next, you neet to cut and sew the black cardstock. It should be cut in 4" x 5.5" rectangles. On the inside/backside of the cardstock, outline a 3-sided rectangle for the bottom and sides of the invitation. There should be about a 3/8" frame between your rectangle and the edge of the cardstock. Sew (no thread) along these three lines, creating the 3-sided rectangle that will become the perforation. When finished, use scissors or an exacto knife to cut a triangle at the top of your 3-sided rectangle. The seems should meet at the ends of the sewed lines. Fold over the triangle so that it forms a tab. This tab allows for removal of the perforated section.

Glue the second portion of wedding information to the inside of the perforated section on the back of the card stock. Once the glue has dried, apply glue to the frame section on the inside of the black card stock and fit over the first section of the wedding information on the white card stock.

Align the vellum over the chandelier picture. Make sure the black card stock is secured appropriately and punch holes for the eyelets or ribbon. Secure with eyelets or ribbon.
